How the heating jacket works
Around the pumping chamber there is a cavity in which the heating fluid circulates. The heat reaches the whole pump body. The gears are not locked by cold product, and the pump restarts after a stop without strain on the shaft.
Which products it is used for
Bitumen, pitch, compounds and bituminous mixtures, chocolate, waxes, hot-melt, resins and molasses. These are the typical applications in bitumen plants, chocolate lines, resin and hot-melt production and molasses storage.
Ten sizes, from 3/4" to 6"
The series covers displacements from 32.3 to 2960 cm³/rev. You choose the model according to the flow rate required and the speed the viscosity allows: the thicker the fluid, the lower the speed of rotation. Our technical office in Bologna, Italy, sizes the pump together with you.
Supply options for heated installations
The CR is supplied as a bare shaft pump, as an electric pump unit on a baseplate or with a geared motor for low speeds. Many plants feed the jacket from a hot oil loop: for that circuit see our thermal oil pumps.
